It is time for musical auditions! Rawlins High School will be performing "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", a hilarious comedy farce set in Ancient Rome! If you like to act, sing, or make people laugh, or want to explore and learn more about backstage and tech theater, come and join us! Auditions will be Today and Tomorrow. You will need a 30 second monologue and a song excerpt. Mr. Bloxham's I&E next week will be dedicated to this if you are unsure and have questions or want help preparing!
RHS students listen up! Our first Outlaw Day will be on December 19 from 8:30 to 12:20. You will report to your Character Strong teacher for attendance and then we will join together to have some fun and celebrate your hard work this semester. We will have activities like movies, cookie decorating, a 3v3 basketball tournament, a volleyball tournament, board games, and much more. All students will be expected to remain in the commons and gyms, but can rotate freely through the different activities that interest them. There will be team sign ups for basketball and volleyball outside of Mr. Ritschard's classroom throughout the next week so get signed up. We look forward to celebrating your hard work.
Spring eSports registration begins Today and runs through January 9. Stop by Dr. Magagna's classroom for information. Practices and competitions begin the week of January 12.
Zaine Pamintuan has been selected as the science student of the week. He has been nominated by Mrs. Schwessinger for his superb performance in chemistry. Zaine does a fantastic job running experiments and his calculations are accurate. He asks great questions and is always willing to help others in class.
Zaine’s plans for break are to sleep and spend time with his family.
His favorite subject in school has been science.
Zaine’s plans for the future are to attend college and earn a degree in the medical field.
Qatar has been Zaine’s favorite place to visit because it is hot and he likes the sand!
